Cool Volunteer Opportunities on the Pacific Crest Trail

YOU HIKE IT. YOU LOVE IT. NOW BUILD IT!

Make this YOUR summer to give back! AmeriCorps’ Northwest Service Academy (NWSA), in cooperation with the Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) and the United States Forest Service (USFS), is actively recruiting volunteers for the 2008 season's trail work projects in California, Oregon and Washington. No experience is necessary and all meals, tools, and training are provided free of charge.

Northwest Service Academy/AmeriCorps trail crews will be leading a wide variety of projects including cutting brush, cleaning and constructing water bars, and building trail structures. Volunteers may choose to accompany a Northwest Service Academy/AmeriCorps crew for a weekend or for one of the longer 10-day trips.

Projects will take place along some of the most beautiful areas on the Pacific Crest Trail throughout California, Oregon, and Washington. You may find yourself in San Bernardino, Rogue River, Deschutes, Mt. Hood or the Gifford Pinchot National Forests. Come join the fun!
