SUMMER JOURNEYS: Service

The Service Project complements and enhances your wilderness experience.  After a week of exploring and enjoying what the great Northwest has to offer, it’s time to give back and enrich.  We have numerous opportunities for helpful and meaningful service projects.  Some courses spend two days working with a local biologist conducting wildlife surveys while others focus on restoring hiking trails in the national forest.

Projects:

  • Wildlife surveying with a local biologist

  • Stream restoration

  • Trail work with an AmeriCorps trail crew

  • Invasive species removal

  • Campsite renovation

  • And much more!

Why Service?
Put simply, everyone benefits from service.  It allows us to contribute to our communities and environment in a positive way.  Service also provides us with the opportunity to develop skills and work ethics, as well as gain knowledge that we can use throughout our lives.
